93 Andhra MLAs Resigned (Now 128)

In the support of United Andhra Pradesh, 93 MLAs belonging to Congress, Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) have resigned to their posts. 53 from Congress, 29 from TDP and 11 from PRP have submitted their resignation to speaker Kiran Kumar Reddy.

From PRP, all the MLAs from Andhra region except Chiranjeevi have resigned. There was a long queue to submit the resignations in front of speaker's chamber.

According to the sources, 35 MLCs have resigned so far. MPs - Lagadapati Rajagopal, Anantha Venkatarami Reddy and Kotla Surya Prakash Reddy have resigned to their posts.

Today morning speaker Kiran Kumar Reddy announced that total 102 MLAs have submitted their resignations. He has not yet approved that and he will talk to them personally and take a call.

Resignations didn't stop with that. It reaches to 128 with individual party count - Congress 76, TDP 38 and PRP 14.

Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh had a discussion with Andhra and Rayalaseema MPs. According to the sources, these MPs have asked, Sonia and PM, not to divide the state.

Protests, Suicides and attempt to suicides are happening in Andhra and Rayalaseema regions. Meanwhile US issued a travel alert for AP especially for Telangana region and asking not to travel there.
